The Ap-0 is a fully functional demonstrator prototype that features both the interior and exterior. The Ap-0 is an electric sports car originally intended to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle boasts a lightweight carbon fibre monocoque chassis and various advanced features, including advanced aerodynamics, active suspension, and a powerful electric drivetrain.
Vital handled the transition from Alias ‘A-surface through to a drivable vehicle. Our engineers worked closely with the designers to nurture the design through the tricky ‘Design for manufacture’ stage. The entire prototyping process, from creating the DATA, tools, moulds and building the chassis to the final paint job and polish was completed in house at Vital. Our skilled technicians also handled the complex wiring for the car's advanced electronics and coded the headlamp and taillamp start-up sequences for the bespoke lighting design.
